Biography
| Born and raised in Nashville, TN. Attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where I was first introduced to photography as an art. In college, I worked recreationally with digital cameras, practicing composition development more than technical skill enhancement. In photography courses, I used strictly fully manual film cameras with only Ilford B/W film (I was very picky). My two years of solid film photography developed a strong base of technical knowledge. Studying Ansel Adams' books (most notably The Negative) have helped secure my solid technical skills. Today, I work primarily digitally. I'm currently a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying organic chemistry. Photography is my serious hobby, as well as a side career. Hopefully, if I manage to secure some funding, I will be able to take classes at the Brooks Institute of Photography. |

- Attended public high school in Franklin, TN. Received honors degree in chemistry with a rigorously pursued minor in photography from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Currently a graduate student in organic chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
